On August 26th, the 11th Community Expo featuring the 27th Music & Arts Explosion was held to celebrate "Back to School" for Chicagoland students. Over 1000 community members enjoyed a variety of local entertainment and age appropriate activities free of charge. Health screenings, financial literacy information, dental exams, community resource exhibits, and workshops were available throughout the day. This annual event serves as the Monarch Awards Foundation's One Million Backpacks℠ distribution site.

The 13th Annual Community Feeding will be held on Saturday, November 19th at Beautiful Zion Missionary Baptist Church. In partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, our annual Community Feeding serves more than 500 families in Englewood. The Community Feeding has afforded Xi Nu Omega the opportunity to serve and build strategic partnerships.

We are excited to host our 34th Monarch Awards Foundation Gala: A Tribute to Black Men on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. This event celebrates the contributions of African American men who are trailblazers in the Chicago community. For 33 years, the Foundation has celebrated Black men at its fundraising Gala which features a reception, auction, fine dining and dancing. Seven awards will be given to men who make outstanding contributions to our communities. Proceeds from Monarch Awards Foundation Gala benefit scholarships, charitable contributions and programs of Xi Nu Omega chapter.
